Praise God!  We have so much to be thankful for. 

After Ike, many volunteers came and mucked out the church, our sunday school rooms, offices and fellowship hall and then many came and reconstructed. We are thankful for the volunteer help. Bay Vue United Methodist Church is blessed and our community is certainly blessed because of all the volunteers' efforts and their hard work.

We started worshiping in the parking lot in October, approximately 6 weeks after Ike hit. We soon had about 20 people regularly coming to worship.  By November, we moved into the fellowship hall for worship and our attendance climbed to about 40.  Presently we are averaging about 50. Thanks to everyone for their prayers, presence, gifts and their service.

Our trustees are meeting every week to help keep the rebuilding progress moving forward.  There are many very dedicated church members that have given of their time and expertise in the reconstruction process. Every effort, big or small, is making our church a ‘home' again.  It is amazing to see! And amazing to experience! Come join us!
